The tour explores the inner secrets of Ireland. This is Brian Boru country, the best known High King of Ireland. The tour follows part of the famous Sarsfield's Ride, made famous the Siege of Limerick. Moving away from the coastline, but not loosing the influence of water, the tour walks the shores of Lough Derg before moving inland under the shadows of the Galtee Mountains to Tipperary town and onwards to Clonmel.
The base for the first four days is Killaloe. From here there are excursions to Lough Derg and the Slieve Felim Mountains. The next two nights are spent in Tipperary town, from where there are excursions to the Galtee Mountains, the Ballyhouras and the Glen of Aherlow. The last day is spent in the Nire Valley, below the Comeragh Mountains.
