Travel through the beautiful countryside and picturesque towns of Tipperary, starting out of Clonmel nestled in the Comeragh Mountains and home to the South Tipperary Arts Centre. From Clonmel travel on the heritage town of Cahir with nearby attractions of Swiss Cottage, Cahir Castle and the Craft Centre. Bansha provides the gateway to the stunning Glen of Aherlow. Tipperary Town on the beautiful River Ara is in the heart of the Golden Vale. The Tipperary Excel Centre offers cinema and theatre entertainment.
From Tipperary town travel to Golden and the nearby ruins of Athassel Abbey. East along the N24, Cashel is an important heritage town where the formidable Rock of Cashel once the seat of the Kings of Munster, dominates the surrounding countryside. Visitors can find out more about the town and its history at the BrĂș BorĂș Cultural Centre and the Cashel Heritage Centre. Return to Clonmel on the R692 and R689 via 13thCentury walled town of Fethard with its many churches and Friaries and Sheela-na-Gig carvings.
