A trip to Ireland gives you the chance to experience craic, culture, adventure and spectacular scenery. Take a Giddy Goats Tour and we’ll make sure you grasp that opportunity.

Craic

In Ireland craic is the term we use for having a good time. Craic can be summed up as...
fun, enjoyment and excitement all mixed up with a good dash of light-hearted mischief. The best way to experience "the craic" is to mix with locals, and all our tours give you the chance to do this in a laid back natural fashion. Whether it’s over a few quiet pints in a country pub, at a festival or during a traditional music session you won’t lack opportunities to sample the famous Irish welcome. As the great Irish poet William Buttler Yeats said of Ireland “there are no strangers here, only friends you have not met yet”

Adventure

We’ll make sure that you get off the beaten track and enjoy some of Ireland’s hidden gems. On at least one night of your tour we’ll take you camping in some of the most remote and scenic areas of Ireland (usually to an island). We’ll prepare a barbeque for you while you chill out at a camp fire with a few beers, or maybe hide out in a pub if the weather decides to blow up a storm.

All our tours also include at least one adventure activity in the tour price. Choose from activities such as kayaking, mountain biking, surfing... For specific details of the activities included in your tour refer to the tours page.

Culture

Ireland is famous for our cultural heritage and all over the country historical landmarks abound. We will make sure to point these out and give you the story behind them.

Ireland is also a sports mad country and sport is an integral part of contemporary culture. We have our own native games of Gaelic Football and Hurling which are played throughout the country. If a sporting event co-insides with your tour we’ll do our best to get you there as there’s always a great buzz around when there’s a match on.

Ireland’s coastal communities have a great connection with the sea and if you’re lucky we might get to witness the currach rowing regattas which are great events in coastal communities and full of intense local rivalry.

Spectacular Scenery

For such a small country we have an unbelievably rugged, varied and beautiful landscape. Whether it be the Cliffs of Moher in Clare or their lesser know relatives the Slieve League Cliffs in Co. Donegal or one of Ireland's beautiful isolated beaches you’re sure to be enchanted by Ireland’s magnificent scenery. We’ll make sure you experience these beautiful sites from the best possible view point at the best times of day. For example the Cliffs of Moher are at their most spectacular when the sun is setting and the throngs of tourists have long since retired to the cities.
