Just two tram stops from the city centre at a mooring under the tram station lies MV RIASC, a custom built canal barge, ready to take you on a pleasant and relaxing journey along Dublin’s Grand Canal.
The cruise takes you through two canal locks, over two hundred years old and still in working condition. The locks allow RIASC to pass from one water level to a higher or lower level to account for Dublin’s contours. You will be fascinated by their operation! The cruise sails to Rathmines or Percy Place (depending on the time) at a very relaxing pace and will return you to Charlemont Place Luas station.
